Unlike other hosting companies, who use single processor low end workstation class computers, Brytenet only uses server class hardware and all new accounts are provisioned on our Dual Processor 2.8GHz Intel Xeon Servers with 1 Mb cache & HyperThreading Technology. The CentOS 4 Linux using the 2.6 kernel, enhanced with custom security and performance modifications make sure that our servers are very secure.

Network & datacenter
Enterprise Data Center
The equipment and network at NAC are of the highest quality and their datacenter is world class! Located in New Jersey, the datacenter has access to all the major IP backbones and the highest quality of power and security. The datacenter uses multiple redundant connections and BGP to ensure 100% uptime of the network. There is also a unique firewall in place to ensure server security.
The datacenter is connected to a fully protected SONET ring with multiple points of entry. Furthermore, the datacenter also has direct fiber circuits to various transit providers & peering exchanges. Complete redundancy --no single point of failure.
Over 20 GB/s of available bandwidth from Tier 1 transit providers, private/public peers & various internet exchanges. The network consists of fully redundant (VRRP) Juniper M40's & M20's border routers and fully redundant (HSRP) Cisco 6509's distribution switches. Level III network administrators are on-site 24/7/365, in addition to other system administrators and security personnel.
Fingerprint biometric entry access scanner
Site access is restricted with closed circuit security camera surveilance, biometric fingerprint and facial recognition. Integrated motion detection systems monitor all building and data center entrances with centralized access control.
4 enterprise grade air-conditioning units providing cool, clean & humidity controlled air to the entire datacenter. The datacenter has redundant municipal cleaned, groomed 3 phase electrical power backed by a UPS with redundant battery rooms. Of course there is the auto-activated permanent standby diesel generator, with a 12 hour runtime on current fuel supply, and indefinite runtime with refueling service contracts already in place.
