About Brytenet and its services

Does Brytenet allow adult content?

We do allow the hosting of adult content as long as it is legal content per US laws. What is and isn't obscene can be looked at many ways, but common sense goes a long way in helping determine what might or might not be considered obscene material for your website.

What do you mean with stupid limits?

Many hosting providers offer packages with many limits: you have x POP3 accounts, x FTP accounts, x databases, x sub-domains or x mailing lists. In our opinion, these limits only serve to fill the pockets of the providers, and are of no benefit to the user.

We rather give you everything you might need right from the start. Since you can create your own mail accounts, FTP accounts, databases, sub-domains and mailing lists from the control panel, there are no extra costs for us involved. It is your disk space and your bandwidth, and you decide how to use them.

In what languages can I receive support?

Though our site is available in English, Dutch and Spanish, Brytenet gives support in Catalan as well.

Do you make backups?

Yes, Brytenet performs nightly backups on all accounts, but don't count on these backups alone! Your website is important, and you are the one ultimately responsible for ensuring that your data is backed up!

You should always keep an up to date copy of your website on your local computer; by doing this you will always have a copy of your site on hand in the event of data loss. You can easily download file, database and settings backups from the backup area of cPanel.
